India have won by 20 runs and lead the 4-match series 1-0.
A good fight by West Indies but they just lost big wickets at crucial times. Gayle got them off to a big start, Sarwan threw his wicket away just when he was set, Bravo was unlucky and Chanderpaul fell in the batting powerplay but the lower order still made a good fight of it.
Presentation Ceremony
Gayle: I thought it was a good game. Looking forward to Sunday and hoping to square the series. It was a good effort.
Dhoni: Most of the guys thought we’d won when they were 7-down, that’s the mistake we made. He (Yuvraj) has proved himself, everytime we need him, he scores his runs.
Yuvraj Singh is the Man of the Match for his knock of 131 off 102 balls.
Yuvraj: First 20 balls I was struggling. As I got going, I got the momentum, played a few shots. It’s a bit different when you play 50-over cricket, hopefully we’ll get used to it when you play a few more games.
Thanks for joining us. Do join us on Sunday for the second game.
